Timber & Brass Bathroom Upgrade

The owners of this Tuakau home came to us wanting to completely transform their original 1950s bathroom, which was well overdue for an update. Their vision was a modern, practical space that would comfortably meet the needs of the whole family.

To achieve this, we redesigned the layout to make better use of the available space by relocating key fixtures. The old timber joinery was replaced with new, double-glazed aluminium joinery for improved insulation and durability.

Warm, natural timber-look vinyl flooring was installed to bring a welcoming feel to the room. All new bathroom fittings, sourced from Mico Plumbing, were added - including a back-to-wall bath that mimics the aesthetic of a freestanding tub, a spacious corner shower, and a large wall-hung vanity that matches the flooring for a cohesive design.

To complete the look, the clients chose brushed brass finishes for the mixers, slide shower, framed mirror, and towel rail. These not only elevate the overall style with a high-end, warm tone but also provide a durable, family-friendly solution.

The result is a beautifully updated bathroom that’s modern, inviting, and highly functional - exactly what the clients were after.
