Roof-line Extension to Create Outdoor Living

The team at Smith & Sons Franklin completed this outdoor living extension. The owners of the brick bungalow wanted to create a covered outdoor area to add indoor-outdoor flow and make the most of the country side views. A roofline extension was built outwards into the garden, providing a whole new look to the exterior of the home. The design of the new addition was carefully planned to maximise views from each side, whilst creating a feeling of being connected with the home. A skylight was installed in the roof to bring in additional light and the interior wall was cladded in cedar. The white beams create a frame in the roof which adds style and interest to the new structure. The clients are delighted with their new indoor-outdoor area and plan to spend many hours enjoying their new space
