Modern Entryway & Concealed Laundry Renovation

The homeowners of this Karaka property approached our team at Smith & Sons Franklin with a vision to transform their home’s entry way and renovate the adjoining laundry room.

To bring their vision to life, we began by removing the partition wall next to the front door, opening up the entry space and creating a more welcoming, seamless transition into the home. This change also exposed the existing laundry area, which we then redesigned in collaboration with the team at Kitchen Inspirations.

The goal was to maintain the open feel of the entryway while concealing the functional elements of the laundry. To achieve this, sleek modern cabinetry was installed. On one side, shorter black cabinets discreetly house the washer and dryer. On the opposite side, full-height white cabinetry accommodates the hot water cylinder, laundry tub, and provides storage and shelving.

Since the existing tiles had to be removed during the renovation, the homeowners chose large-format white tiles to elevate the space. These tiles were also extended into the adjacent kitchen area to create a cohesive flow throughout the home.

The end result is a bright, functional, and beautifully integrated space - exactly what the clients envisioned.
