This 1950’s bungalow was more of a re-build than a renovation.
The existing house was demolished to floor level and the deck was completely removed.
The owner wanted his new house to be more spacious with more of an indoor/outdoor flow.
This was achieved by an open plan kitchen and living area with a higher ceiling height and light-coloured timber flooring.
Architectual aluminium joinery was used to maximise the openings – sliding windows open overwall and the sliding doors open into the wall cavities.
The doors were rebated to sit flush with the interior floor and exterior deck.
