The renovation to this early 1900’s villa retained all its character and charm from the front aspect whilst an ultra modern extension was added to the back.
Once the job started, it was discovered that the house had a few issues - out of level, out of square and riddled with borer.
This meant having to replace all the existing framing, 90% of the cladding and re-levelling of the house.
Timber joinery and tongue-and-grooved flooring remained features of the original villa, leading through to the polished concrete floor and architectural aluminium joinery of the extension.
A swimming pool surrounded by vitex decking complimented the transition between old and new.
