    Managing Director

    Brent is a Licensed Building Practitioner and has worked in the building industry since commencing his trade as a young apprentice. He offers extensive building knowledge and skills which he has gained with over 34 years work in both residential and commercial sites in New Zealand and the UK.

    Brent spent 12 years undertaking high end renovations in upmarket suburbs of London which added another layer of problem solving and skills to his set, before returning to settle back home in Auckland. He is the owner operator of Smith & Sons East Auckland and has a soft spot for the south east side of Auckland having grown up in South Auckland and having lived in East Auckland.

    He is passionate about his work and mentoring his team to do the best job possible , the first time, for his clients. He believes working with clients and keeping them informed leads to a better project outcome and an enjoyable experience for the home owner.

    Brent lives with his partner Nadine, and together they share eight children. He enjoys music, watching and playing football, having also coached his children's teams, being involved with his local community, and spending time with friends and family.

    Administration

    Nadine is partner to Brent, and they jointly work in and own Smith & Sons East Auckland. Nadine has an extensive background in accounts payable and office management across a variety of industries. Prior to Smith & Sons, she worked in the commercial property maintenance sector with a strong focus on refurbishment, height safety systems, leaky building repairs, heritage building restoration, waterproofing membranes, and painting and rebranding. She also has experience within graphic design and marketing, liquor retail, the finance sector as well as convenience foods and beverage manufacturing.

    Nadine enjoys her Smith & Sons role as she is not 'just stuck in the office' but appreciates the opportunity to get out interacting with clients as well as providing support to the Eas Auckland team as the project unfolds. She is an important part of the process for both the client and the team on site and loves that she can add true value to both, ensuring a smooth process to aid in making home renovations enjoyable and less stressful.

    In her spare time, Nadine likes to potter about her busy lifestyle block in picturesque Bethells Beach.
